Penndel Set to Celebrate U.S. 250th Anniversary

The Heritage Society of Penndel Borough is inviting the community to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary  on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The event, which commemorates  sestercentennial  of the United States, will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the outdoor lawn next to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 246 Hulmeville Avenue.

Admission to the celebration is free, officials said.

A variety of afternoon activities, including live music performed by the Tri-County Brass Band, vendors, food trucks plus family-friendly entertainment that will feature moon bounces, children’s crafts, and caricature drawings, organizers said will be part of the festivities.

Attendees who have participated in the Penndel Passport program are instructed to bring their passports to exchange collected stamps for raffle tickets during the event.
