“Pop Up” Outdoor Skating Rink Grand Opening in Bensalem “Delayed”

If after a night of Black Friday shopping hot coco and outdoor ice skating at the new rink are part of your plans for tomorrow night, “technical delays” at the Neshaminy Mall skate spot will delay those plans.

Maggie Larkin, marketing coordinator for Flight On Ice said on Social Media late Wednesday that flights on ice will be delayed.

“Our opening weekend is postponed due to inclement weather conditions during our ice making process. We will be opening just in time for the holidays! Stay tuned for our new opening date…” she said.

The recent announcement of Flight on Ice coming to Bensalem Township’s Neshaminy Mall was met with pure excitement and was one of the most read stories on Lower Bucks Source over the last 30 days with readers “tagging” friends and family about the now delayed opening.

A portion of the rink’s proceeds will be donated to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 Survivors Fund, officials said when plans for the outdoor “pop-up” holiday attraction was announced.

Features include a full-size (60’x 100’) recreational outdoor skating rink, affordable skate rentals, free on-site parking, festive music, lighting, video & decor, delicious food and beverages, heated hospitality tents perfect for private parties, next-level entertainment and a robust calendar of family-friendly themed events.

Single general admission tickets to skate are $12, with $10 skate rentals plus taxes and fees from Dec. 16 through Jan. 2 for peak holiday hours and $10 and $8 for all other sessions.

“Thank you for your patience! Please message us with any questions.
Make sure to check back on our social media pages for all updates for all of our rinks regarding openings, inclement weather, and changes,” Larkin said.
