Silver Lake Nature Center to Celebrate 60th Anniversary in Sept. with Special Event

60 Years… A Story Worth Celebrating

The community is invited to join Silver Lake Nature Center in celebrating 60 incredible years.

This milestone anniversary promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration, entertainment, and celebration.

Participants will enjoy a spirited reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and beverages, special guests, memorabilia, and surprises. The evening will also offer opportunities to reconnect with some of the people who have helped shape Silver Lake Nature Center over the past six decades, forge new friendships with fellow nature enthusiasts, and celebrate the shared memories and lasting connections that make this SLNC community so special.

Robert Mercer, retired Director-Naturalist of Silver Lake Nature Center, will be the evenings featured
presenter.

Mercer served as Director-Naturalist for 40 years, and his reflections and stories will highlight the rich history and enduring legacy of SLNC.

The evening will also feature an outstanding live performance by renowned musicians from Al Mikula Big Band Ensemble, providing the perfect soundtrack for this memorable celebration.

This special anniversary celebration is also a fundraising event benefiting the nonprofit Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center organization.

Through their partnership with the Bucks County Parks Recreation Department, the Friends of SLNC provide vital support for environmental education, community programming, conservation initiatives, trail improvements, visitor experiences, and much more.

100% of the event proceeds directly benefit the Friends of SLNC and help ensure that Silver Lake Nature Center continues to educate, inspire, and connect people with nature for generations to come.
