State Rep K.C Tomlinson announces $1 million in funding for Bensalem Township

State Rep. K.C Tomlinson announced the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) has awarded Bensalem $500,000 for the river renaissance project.
“This is a great project that will drive economic development in Bensalem by improving riverfront access to the Delaware River and give residents and visitors better access to our very own beautiful natural resource,” Tomlinson said in a press release.
The funding will allow Bensalem to build a new connector road from Street Road. A new traffic signal will be installed to handle this avenue. Along with this, a new bike, parking, travel lanes, and a landscape median will be installed.
The project will create the spine for a new waterfront multimodal infrastructure system and includes construction of the “New York Avenue Connector” to become the main new arterial feeder to the industrial area.
