Lower Bucks Source first reported in June 2025 that life-long female resident,  Amy Yates Wuelfing, an accomplished publisher in her own right,is on a mission to save the Stockham building.  She created the Save the Stockham Building-Keep Morrisville’s Dignity Intact website and a change.org petition to help the cause.

Yates-Wuelfing was at the Tuesday night meeting hoping to hear better news about the future of the historic structure.

“I understand that even structurally if it can be saved that it might not happen. But I want is for the citizens of Morrisville to have a say on what happens to the property if the building is demolished and not remain at the mercy of property owners who simply don’t care about us,” she said.

Demolition Timing

The timing of demolition depends on several entities involved with the building, officials said.

SBA which owns the  cellular towers on the roof of the structure has been contacted several times and has yet to respond Isett said.  Is An AT&T representative asked Isett on August 12 for information about the permit for their tower. AT&T was informed that the building would be demolished and they had 90 days to remove their equipment. It was AT&T’s first time hearing of the demolition as management (SBA) never informed then,  Issett said.

After several email exchanges among Isett, AT&T and Ramnik, it was decided that a meeting among the three would be held on August 20 to discuss logistics. Ramnik is collecting bids and working with the RDA on funding. It has been suggested that daily fines be issued to SBA as it may put them on notice to initiate discussion, said Isett.

Isett clarified some of the information for the public and council member.  Questions from council included actual owner which is Ramnik, part of SRV Holdings and he is not very forthcoming with information; Also Isett clarified that Ramink contacted MMA for water and sewage; it is believed PECO was also contacted and when demolition timeframe is decided, then PennDOT would need to be contacted for road closures. Isett also clarified for council that even though SBA is not forthcoming, currently there are no fines being issued at this time. When asked if there was hope for the building, Isett did not believe so as the structural analysis showed the cost of it was going to be astronomical as opposed to the demolition. In answer to the question of what will be seen if in 6 months  Isett responded, “If we get things moving six months from now, you should see demolition going on.” They don’t know the full extent other than visible what is the issues with that building. He added that once a structural issue is resolved, another issue that was unseen may appear.
