Tullytown Police Sgt. Saves a Life

A Tullytown Borough Police Sergeant saved an overdose victims life Saturday.

Chief of Police Dan Doyle posted about the save Sunday morning in a public service message on the departments Facebook page 

Doyle said Sgt. Andrew Bunda responded to a medical call Saturday and upon arrival determined the woman had overdosed.

Bunda administered Narcan and ventilated the woman for approximately 10 minutes until the ambulance personnel arrived and took over treatment. The woman survived due to Bunda’s quick response and life saving measures.

Responding EMS staff who responded said ‘Sgt. Bunda saved a life today” ” Just wanted to let you know. Top notch”. Thankyou Sgt. Bunda for your commitment to public safety!’

Bunda who is from Bristol was thanked by dozens in the community under Doyle’s posting.
