Turnpike Commission Says its Added Apple and Google Pay for Toll Payments

PA Turnpike to Launch Open Road Tolling on Eastern Portion of System in January 2025

The Pennsylvania Turnpike says its increased ways for motorists to pay tolls by now offering Google Pay and Apple Pay

The mobile payment options can be accessed through the PA Turnpike’s mobile account management app, PA Toll Pay.

The Toll Pay app is can downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play.

These new payment options deliver what the majority of our customers want: seamless and convenient mobility,” PA Turnpike CEO Mark Compton said. “Our customers have a clear preference for electronic payments, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is dedicated to understanding and meeting their evolving needs.”

The turnpike commission says it offers a number of ways for motorists to pay to make the transactions easier.

  1. E-ZPass Go Paks available at approximately 730 retail locations.
  2. Providing customers the ability to use cash to pay Toll-By-Plate invoices or add funds to E-ZPass accounts. This payment option helps customers without bank accounts or those who do
not want to tie up funds in an E-ZPass account until they travel, officials said.
  3.  Offering several different ways to pay their invoice: by mail, by phone, online, using a mobile app, through the cash-payment network, and by walk-in at our Harrisburg Customer Service Center

The Apple and Google payment options can be used to make one-time payments, but the commission said they are not available for auto-replenishment at this time
