Upper BucksCo: Quakertown Boro & Richland Twp.’s Section of 309 Closed for Pipe Replacement

PennDOT announced pipe replacement will close a section of northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) in Quakertown Borough and Richland Township.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) will be closed and detoured between Route 313 (Broad Street) and Sunshine Drive. Northbound Route 309 (West End Boulevard) passenger vehicles will use Route 313 (Broad Street), California Road, and Pumping Station Road. Large trucks will be directed Roue 313 (Broad Street), 4^th Street, Mill Street, Route 212, Pumping Station Road, California Road, and Pumping Station Road.

Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
