A Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service (NWS) will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. tonight until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow with snow accumulations up to 4″ inches for the area.
The forecast from NWS is as follows:
- February 16, the area is expected to have snow, mainly after 1am. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 28. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
- Saturday, February 17, the region will see snow showers likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 39. Light and variable wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
NWS advises motorists to plan for slippery road conditions by slowing down and using caution as you travel. Snow and/or sleet accumulations can result in significant travel disruptions.
