“Bensalem is one of the biggest suburban areas in the state. We have over 7,000 members who use our bank that work or live in the Bensalem area.”

Merrill went on to explain that opening up a branch in Bensalem would be a gateway to serve those in Philadelphia who do business in the Bensalem Township. Alongside Philadelphia, the branch is also looking to expand into other communities in the Central Bucks area.

Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo was also at the event, and gave a small speech during the opening ceremony.

“The business community is the biggest part of what we do here, and I want you to know that you’re in a community with one of the best police department, fire department and EMS department.”

“They’ve been trying to come to the community for years, and this was the perfect spot for them.” DiGirolamo  told Lower Bucks Source.

Inspire announced it was taken over the site previously occupied by T.D Bank in November of last year. The site went under a design and branding overhaul and opened its doors for a soft launch,  while the contracting firm  doing the retrofit/overhaul completed odds and ends on the ”
punch list in recent days.

Among the activities at the event included face painting, food and refreshments, and a live band and DJ.

Those who attended also got the chance to win Phillies tickets or $1,000 if they opened up an account or applied for a loan, win tickets to the 92.5 XTU Anniversary show with headliner Luke Bryan, or crack the safe code and win $500.

The Women’s Animal Center was also at the event, and anyone who donated cat or dog food would get the chance to win Phillies tickets.

The branch is open Monday-Friday 9-5, 9-1 Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays.
