This is one of those stories where Lower Bucks Source readers are going to say to anyone within listening distance “I told you so.”
Bristol RideNow Sports closed its doors for good earlier this month. The dealership opened last June at the former Walmart location in the Bristol Park shopping center (AKA Commerce Circle).
A Lower Bucks Source reader who works in the shopping center told this publication that a friend who worked for the business said doors were closed shortly after New Years.
Calls to RideNow’s communications department were not returned.
RideNow Sports is one of the largest dealership groups in the country with more than 55 convenient stores across the United States. “We are proud to have over 18,803 new and pre-owned motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, and more, along with the largest selection of brand manufacturers,” a spokesperson said.
Despite the company’s optimism, locals, by a majority, were hoping a “supermarket” along the lines of Walmart or a co-op market would rent the space from owner Brixmor Property Group.
Total Liquidators, the last business to occupy the space, opened its doors to the public in October of 2020 and closed two years later in December of 2022. Family Dollar Store, which opened in late 2020 just doors away, is still open despite significant traffic flow drops into the Bristol Park shopping center.
Hope for a traffic flow resurgence came to fruition in early 2020 when the Bristol Indoor Flea Market opened. Impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, the market moved outdoors later that spring and eventually closed shop in early summer for good, taking with it, the momentum and resulting crowd flow.
Late last year, Rite Aid and the state-operated Fine Wine and Good Spirits permanently closed their doors at the shopping center.

I feel that they need an Aldi there as an anchor. Then possibly a pharmacy and another store could come. Need to build it up with a major anchor right now.
