By the end of 2024, nearly all township-owned roads are expected to have been recently repaved, with few remaining, officials said.
In 2013 the township decided to overhaul municipal roads after determining that half needed resurfacing and also saw the commitment as way of attracting businesses back to Bristol.
It was said at the time that many roads in the Levittown section had not been repaved since the 1950s officials said a decade ago. The condition of the townships roadways was the focus of frequent complaints by locals.
