Fitzpatrick Wins Easily, Asks Community to Join Him in a Movement of Bipartisanship, Center Forward Problem Solving

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick trounced Democrat Ashley Ehasz winning this cycle by a larger margin then he did in 2022, while calling for an embrace of  unity and a rejection of hate speech that seeks to divide the country.

The congressman said across his socials early Wednesday, while surrounded by supporters to the district “Thank you to our amazing community for once again affirming, in incredibly overwhelming numbers, our values of unity, bipartisanship and independence, and rejecting the hate speech of those who seek to divide us. I will continue to work tirelessly to represent all of us, our one community, as a bridge-builder, well into the future as the #1 most independent member of Congress, as we seek to build consensus and collaboration, while consistently exposing the forces that seek to divide our community.”

What is going to be a unique situation for Fitzpatrick, is returning to Congress with Donald Trump back in the White House. It’s no secret he sought distance from the former president during the last congressional cycle.

Ehasz has yet to release a statement about the results. She did say around midnight she is committed to honoring and respecting the outcome of the election.

Fitzpatrick declined to debate Ehasz, which has been a growing custom in the district, in the late stages of the race. One well-placed source told Lower Bucks Source in late September, there was no reason for the congressman to do so, because polling data the campaign had, showed he was winning despite Ehasz’s attempts to tie him to Trump and anti-choice issues.

As with other democrats who have lost to Fitzpatrick and his brother before him, perhaps someday the forecasters at the beginning of the next congressional election cycle won’t be so quick to say the district is up for grabs because there are now more republicans than democrats and the congressman continues to earn blue votes.
