Warminster Township announces the purchase of two new vehicles that will enhance its fleet to better serve the community’s infrastructure and maintenance needs by helping to improve daily operations, ensure optimal services for residents, and enhance the Township’s plowing services during the winter months.
The Parks Department has replaced its 2011 Ford 350 with a new 2024 Ford F350 4×4 SD Crew Cab, complete with a Maxon C2 Liftgate, a 9’ Western Pro Plow, and an LED Strobe Package. This state-of-the-art vehicle will play a crucial role in maintaining Warminster Township’s parks, helping with both daily operations and snow removal. The cost of the new vehicle is $69,301.02.
The Public Works Department has added a 2025 Peterbilt 548 Dump Truck to its fleet. The new vehicle is equipped with a plow, lift gate, spreader, and an LED Flasher System, enhancing the department’s ability to perform snow removal, road maintenance, and other essential services. The cost of the Peterbilt 548 is $87,773.00.
The acquisition of the Peterbilt Dump Truck was funded through the Liquid Fuels Program, a state-administered initiative designed to support municipalities in the maintenance and repair of local roads. The Liquid Fuels Program helps fund initiatives aimed at improving roadways, purchasing equipment, and supporting local infrastructure projects. By using these dedicated funds to purchase the Peterbilt dump truck, Warminster Township is ensuring that its fleet remains reliable and efficient, benefitting the entire community.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve our services and better serve Warminster residents,” said Warminster Township Manager, Tom Scott. “Updating our fleet with these new vehicles will not only enhance our daily operations, but will also ensure that we continue to provide excellent plowing services when winter storms hit.” Jill Maier, Assistant Township Manager, added, “These two new additions will be a great advantage in servicing the needs of our community.
