A much anticipated Mill Street business opening is perhaps weeks away.
The grand opening of Spad’s Scoops the publication confirmed Sunday could possibly happen in May.
Shop owner Mindy Spadaccino said final inspections are needed to be completed before the grand opening date can be announced for the
“We are shooting for May but don’t have an exact date yet” she said.
Since taking over the Mill St location last April locals continued to inquire about when the ice cream shop would launch.
Spadaccino and her husband are both successful in their individual professions she said last year and didn’t want to rush into an opening with needed work to be done at the ice cream shop.

In related Mill Street business news, Cindy’s Cafe recently closed its doors.
Opened during the winter of 2019, the cafe’s mantra “a little taste of Key West” seemed to be hit with locals.
No reason for closure was announced.
Sources last week said the location would be taken over by an area couple who will be opening a bagel shop in the very near future. No other information is available about bagel shop. As soon as new information becomes available we will publish an update.
