The new Croydon Wawa will open Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and free coffee.

The new location opens at 8 a.m.and is located at 3111 State Rd, at the intersection of Rt 413.

Wally Goose WaWa’s mascot will also be on hand for the festivities.

“At Wawa, we recognize that our customers lives move at a rapid pace, and whenever we open new stores, it is our goal to deliver our unique brand of convenience in a way that fits our customers busy lives and is attuned to their specific tastes,” said Dave Simonetti, Wawa’s senior director of store operations.

The opening doesn’t come without some local controversy, as locals voiced concerns about traffic issues and the effect the new 24 hour convenience store will have on local businesses.

Bristol Township approved the new store in 2017.
