PennDOT announced Friday stormwater improvements are planned next week on state highways under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management and facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of travel restrictions for Tuesday, January 2, through Friday, January 5, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, for:
- Route 213 (Maple Avenue) between Woodbourne Road and Wheeler Way in Middletown Township, for stormwater replacement work.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
