Urban Outfitters, is coming to Lower Bucks County after the Philadelphia based company announced expansion plans into Falls Township last week potentially adding up to 600 jobs.
Governor Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis made the announcement last week.
URBN will invest at least $150 million in capital, create 450 jobs at its headquarters at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, and create 600 jobs at its new, state-of-the-art Nuuly facility in Falls Township .
“Urban Outfitters was built from the ground up in Philadelphia more than five decades ago – and we are proud that this company is continuing to grow and create jobs all across our Commonwealth,” Shapiro said.
Founded in 1970, URBN has grown from one store in West Philadelphia into a global portfolio. The company relocated its headquarters from Center City to the Philadelphia Navy Yard in 2006 – and since then, the company’s presence at the Navy Yard has grown from five buildings to fifteen, and from 500 hundred employees to more than 2,500.
Nuuly, a rental subscription clothing service, is planning a roughly 975,000-square-foot warehouse in Falls Township, officials said that will house wet and dry cleaning operations, apparel storage systems, sorting, packing, and shipping.
The exact location of where that warehouse will be located is unknown as of publication time.
The brand opened its first Lower Bucks County facility in 2019 operating a distribution and laundry center on Green Lane in Bristol Township.
Dick Hayne, CEO of URBN, expressed appreciation for local and state officials who have helped the company grow.

Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has made Pennsylvania more competitive — attracting over $41 billion in private-sector investment while creating more than 24,000 good-paying jobs across the Commonwealth and earning national recognition.
Pennsylvania is the only state in the Northeast with a growing economy, based on analysis done by Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi.
