Duck Donuts will launch its third Bucks County location in Lower Makefield Saturday at the bright and early time of 7 a.m.
As part of the Grand Opening celebration the first guest in line at the 922 Antique Alley shop will receive a free dozen donuts every month for a year. The first 50 customers in line will earn a Sprinkle Happiness card, company officials said Friday afternoon.
The business is locally owned as are locations in Allentown, Easton, and Levittown.
Customers can create their own donut creations by selecting from a variety of coatings, toppings, and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles and more adventurous creations.
The donut making, creating process can also become its version of a spectator sport as they are created made to order, fresh daily Monday thru Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Friday, Lower Makefield Twp Board of Supervisors Chair John Lewis and Supervisor Suzanne Blundi checked in on the new business to the township. No official comments were made about each donut creating skillset.

The Duck Donuts chain is based in Mechanicsburg and opened its first locations in 2007 in the beach resort towns of Duck and Kitty Hawk, N.C. The company began franchising in 2013.
