The Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors honored Councilwoman Kristin Tyler on Wednesday night with a showing of bi-partisanship support.
Tyler who has served on the board for eight years was visibly moved by the sentiment of the board.
Board Chair Dan Grenier read the proclamation which hailed Tyler’s time serving on the board and for her dedication to serving and community
Tyler thanked the board and Lower Makefield Township for their support while she served saying “This has been a very long and rewarding eight years. Took this job very seriously, it was a labor of love and work, and patience.”
Tyler who served on the Board of Supervisors for eight years, initially appointed in December of 2011, to fill the seat vacated by Matt Maloney told resigned from the board in November of the same year because he was moving out of the township
Tyler thanked township staff, administration, and the public works department, also telling Police Chief Ken Coluzzi “I’m will miss you, Ken. Thank you!”
Tyler wished the incoming board good luck, and lastly thanked her husband and daughter for their sacrifices while she served.
“There were a lot of goodnight kisses missed” she said when speaking about missing time with her daughter, which will be caught up on as Tyler said she’s “returning to my roots” by going back to volunteer with the local Girl Scouts troop, according to Lower Bucks County news reports.
“Thank you all very much, it has been my honor” Tyler said lastly.
Officially no reason as to why Tyler did not seek reelection is known.
