A 18-year-old Trenton, New Jersey man is in jail after police chased an allegedly stolen Kia Soul occupied by three to four minors wearing masks last week culminating with the vehicle slamming into several vehicles waiting for a traffic light change on West Trenton Avenue in Falls Township.
On Tuesday March 17, 2026 at approximately 5:55 p.m., Falls Township Police were dispatched flash information from Bucks County Radio of a reported stolen white Kia Soul, bearing a PA registration “MTN****” occupied by 3-4 juvenile males wearing masks, heading south bound on Route 1 leaving Trenton, NJ, according to the probable cause.
The reported stolen Kia sped through Morrisville Borough; lighting up social media with reports that Borough Police were involved in the chase.
Falls Twp Police spotted the Kia traveling west on Lincoln Highway approaching Tyburn Road located in the Fairless Hills section of Falls.
A vehicle pursuit was initiated and eventually ended at the intersection of West Trenton Avenue (east) and Plaza Blvd, after the Kia collided with several stopped vehicles awaiting a green light. The driver, the front passenger, and the rear seat passenger, Randy Hawkins, fled the scene of the accident and attempted to evade police, police said.
During a search of the Kia, screw drivers, pics, a clear baggie of marijuana, and ski masks were located inside the vehicle. The steering column was damaged and the ignition was tampered with.
Morrisville Borough Police Chief Rich Ciampa noted, during last week’s Council meeting, “*three people” were arrested and the vehicle was stolen out of Falls Township. Borough Police assisted in the chase, he said.
Hawkins, 18, was charged with conspiracy of receiving stolen property, fleeing police, and related offenses. He spent several hours in custody and was released after posting case bail of $1000.00. He has a March 31 court date to answer the charges.
There is no arrest/court information available for the two other individuals reportedly taken into custody by police presumably because they are minors.
