Morrisville Borough has been awarded $896,880 through PennDOT’s Green Light-Go program to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility at two busy intersections state Senator Steve Santarsiero announced.

The funding will allow Morrisville to modernize existing traffic signals and install accessible pedestrian signal push buttons at the following intersections:

  • Bridge Street & Delmorr Avenue
  • Bridge Street & Pennsylvania Avenue

These upgrades will make it safer and easier for everyone to get around Morrisville Borough particularly people with disabilities, older adults, families with young children, and anyone traveling on foot. Creating safer, more accessible streets helps make our communities healthier, more welcoming, and better places to live, work, and visit, Santarsiero said.

“I was proud to work alongside Representative Jim Prokopiak in Morrisville to help secure this investment. Improving accessibility isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about ensuring that every member of our community can safely and confidently navigate our neighborhoods.”

The Green Light-Go program provides funding to municipalities for projects that improve the safety and operation of existing traffic signals through modern technology and accessibility upgrades. This investment is funded through Pennsylvania’s FY 2026–27 state budget.
