“Shenandoah Woods is a tremendous opportunity to turn a long-vacant property into a place where families can gather, children can play, and residents can enjoy the outdoors for generations to come,” Munroe said.
Shenandoah Woods was a site for housing U.S. Navy personnel and their families to be close to the Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster. It was decommissioned in 1997. Demolition of the blighted and abandoned site began in 2022.
