For more than 45 years, the Bensalem Lions Club, Bensalem Township Department of Public Safety, Bensalem Township School District, and dedicated community volunteers have come together to support local families in need during the holiday season.
Just before Christmas Day arrived these organizations proudly sponsored the annual Bensalem Lions Club Holiday Food & Toy Basket Program, assisting approximately 300 families throughout Bensalem Township, said officials in a release.
This year marked the largest donation of food and toys in the program’s history, a true testament to the generosity and compassion of our community, said a spokesperson for the collection drive.
“This program is a major undertaking and would not be possible without the selfless efforts of our volunteers and many organizations who donated food, toys, services, and resources, event officials said.
