Vandalism Forces Locked Gates at Quaker Penn Park

Falls Township officials have implemented measures to address vandalism and field damage caused by motor vehicles being driven overnight by locking the park’s gates at Quaker Penn Park.

The Falls Township Parks and Recreation Department announced the measure on social media Monday, stating the park is closed from dusk until dawn.

Despite the gates being locked, problems persist, according to Falls Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence. On the first night the gates were locked, a vandal removed the locks.

“The park is closed from dusk until dawn always,” Dence said, adding that the locked gates resulted from sporadic vandalism and field damage. “That’s going to be locked for the foreseeable future.”
