The Falls Township Parks & Recreation Department has been alerted to potential illegal and dangerous activities occurring at the Quaker Penn Park boat ramp along the Delaware River.

In response to these reports, and to keep all park patrons safe, the park will be closing and gates will be locked at Quaker Penn Park from 8:30 p.m. on Saturday June 13 until 7:30 a.m. on Sunday June 14.

Park officials ask locals to please ensure that you are off the water and out of  the Park by sunset on Saturday, June 13 to avoid any inconvenience with the locked gate, the department said in a social media post.

Officials did not disclose specify about the  nature of the “activities” that has led to closing the area off.

Falls Parks & Recreation did thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
