Giant Food Market recently presented a check for $5,000 to Warminster Food Bank to help the organization purchase food items, such as meats, fruits, vegetables and other necessities for its guests in need.
During the month of September, Giant will donate $400,000 to 24 partner food banks. In addition to the monetary donation, a group of Giant employees volunteered at the food bank on Sept. 18. Their work on that day focused on packing and delivering orders to clients in need.

Food insecurity is a year-round problem for many individuals and families, who must often choose between purchasing food and other necessities. Donations like those from Giant helps to bridge the gap for these families at a time when it is most needed.
