Month Long Road Closure on Route 232/2nd St. Pike in Northampton Twp Begins Next Week

PennDOT announced bridge repair will begin in January 2026, on the structure that carries Route 232 (Second Street Pike) over a branch of Neshaminy Creek in Northampton Township.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The single span, one-lane, Route 232 (Second Street Pike) bridge over a branch of Neshaminy Creek was built in 1936. The bridge is 14 feet long, 25 feet wide and carries almost 6,000 vehicles per day.
