PennDOT announced that safety improvements will occur on state highways in Falls Township under a project to improve safety at several intersections. The goal is to reduce the number and severity of crashes at intersections that do not have traffic signals.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) North ramp to Tyburn Road East in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) South ramp to Tyburn Road East in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) North ramp to Tyburn Road West in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) South ramp to Tyburn Road West in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on ramps in each direction from New Tyburn Road to Old Bristol Pike in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $5.4 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
