Shir Ami synagogue in Newtown warmly invites everyone to a free Israeli Culture & Arts Night next Wednesday, bringing together a talented group of Israeli artists and offering attendees a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with them.
Taking place at Shir Ami, the heart of Reform Judaism in Bucks County, the gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 10, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 101 Richboro Road in Newtown.
This special evening is about strengthening cultural ties within the community. Guests can enjoy light Israeli fare, music, and a diverse display of art, including handcrafted Judaica, textiles, sculpture, fine jewelry, and prints in both modern and traditional styles. There will also be chances to chat with the artists and learn more about their creative journeys, according to officials.
The exhibitors represent a cross-section of Israeli creative life including Ori Gabrieli of Gabrieli Hand Weaving, known for hand-loomed tallit; visual artists, such as Michelle Levi and Ahuva Elany, as well as contemporary Judaica maker, Agayof Judaica.
Work from Ori Gabrieli of Gabrieli Hand Weaving, will be featured at Shir Ami’s Israeli Culture & Arts Night on December 10. The event is an opportunity to view art from Israel and speak with Israeli artists about their work.
“Our committee felt it was important to bring these creators to Shir Ami at this moment,” said Randi Cohen, co-chair of Shir Ami’s Israel Advocacy Committee. “This is an opportunity to hear directly from Israeli artists, to learn from them, and to stand with them. Their work carries the stories of resilience and renewal that continue to shape Jewish life in Israel.”
“Bringing Israeli art abroad is more than an exhibition,” said Ori Gabrieli. “It is a bridge between communities. After two challenging years, opportunities like this remind our artists that they are supported and seen.”
