Lane Closures on I-295 Beginning Monday in Bristol and Middletown

Left Lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 295 between the Route 413 and U.S. 1 interchanges in Middletown and Bristol townships beginning  Monday at 9 a.m., Penn DOT announced Friday for guide rail repairs. 

The closures will be in place until next Friday, May 22, at 3 p.m. Penn DOT said.

Work on the project is in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, officials., said in a release. 

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
