Power Outage Hits Bristol Area Tuesday Night

The Lights went out in the Bristol area Tuesday night impacting approximately 650 customers, including a shopping center in Bristol Borough. 

The outage,  PECO officials said was due to equipment damage. Work crews were on scene preforming repairs within 15 minutes of the reported loss of power, officials said. 

Power was lost in the Bristol Park Shopping Center, Winder Village, and in Croydon for about one hour, LBS readers reported, beginning about 7 p.m and restored by 8:45 for a majority of customers impacted. 

 What caused the “equipment damage” was unknown officials said.
