If you’re a grilled cheese lover your day of eating ecstasy beckons with the grand opening of Melt Shop Saturday in Langhorne’s Lincoln Plaza
Melt Shop, the “melted sandwich” chain, will be opening its new location in Lincoln Plaza, at 2490 E. Lincoln Hwy this weekend.
At Saturday’s grand opening, the first customer in line will get a free, classic grilled cheese sandwich weekly for a year and the next 49 will get one free per month.
Drew Smith, who already owns five Melt Shop eateries and a number of Five Guys locations across the Philadelphia region, is the owner of the Langhorne franchise.
“We opened our second and third Pennsylvania Melt Shop restaurants in Newtown and Downingtown in 2019 and we’re eager to kick off 2020 with our newest restaurant in Langhorne,” Smith said.
Opening week giveaways will continue through Monday, March 2, at the Langhorne shop. On Sunday, the first 50 guests when the store opens and the first 50 after 6 p.m. get a free Nutella shake.
“It’s our goal to bring Melt Shop to as many people in the greater Philadelphia area as we possibly can. We’re excited to open in Langhorne and look forward to continuing to expand the melted sandwich movement across the state and beyond.”
Diners can select from a number of tasty dishes other than the classic grilled cheese also.
On Monday, the first 100 guests will get a free order of shop tots. To win, entrants must be at least 16 and will be required to download the Melt Shop app.
Melt Shop is the most recent in a string of businesses opening in the surrounding area. Chipotle and Metro Diner have recently opened for business in Middletown Township.
Five Guys Burgers and Fries also is set to open sometime this spring.
Smith said he has plans to develop another 17 Melt Shop locations in the tri-state area which is music to the ears of grilled cheese lovers everywhere in the area.
