Bucks Planning Commission Wants Morrisville Residents to Weigh In

The Bucks County Planning Commission is asking the residents of Morrisville their opinions to update the  comprehensive plan by participating in a community survey which was adopted by officials in 2008.

The Comprehensive Plan is an official public document that serves as a policy guide to decision making in the borough. It is a statement of the community’s future goals and vision for use by the planning commission, Borough Council, private stakeholders and regional, state and federal entities. The plan is periodically reviewed in order to ensure it reflects the most current needs and views of the Borough.

Morrisville, a release says,  would like to hear the views of as many residents as possible, and is committed to ensuring the community plays an active role in developing the policies that will help shape development in the Borough for the next ten years and beyond.

To ensure that the views of your household are considered in the development of the Comprehensive Plan update, please take a few minutes to complete the following survey. Only one survey is to be completed per household. Please read each question carefully, and answer to the best of your knowledge with your honest opinion.

The point of the weighing in with your thoughts and opinions say county officials is outlining a vision of the municipality’s future and recommending strategies for making that vision a reality. The result of  the public process, is achieving activities aimed at improving the physical, social, and economic environment, for the borough.

Morrisville residents can fill out an anonymous survey by following this link.  The deadline to participate is Thursday, February 20, 2020.  The 144 page plan developed in 2008 can be found here
