Yardley Borough News and Notes 

–Police Officer Vincent Zumbrano resigned from the Department to take a full time position with The Morrisville Police Department effective immediately

–A Clean Up Event will be held on February 1 along the canal and on the lake as part of a councilperson in the community service project program.Future community service projects will address cleaning up borough signage  when coming into town.Council Vice President  Caroline Thompson said she wanted  to  freshen up  the tot lot since she’s been spending a lot of time time there with her son. Thompson said each council member could pick project that moves them and schedule community based outreach accordingly as part of the councilperson in the community effort recently launched,

–Councilwoman Kim Segal-Morris will lead the clean up effort at the municipal building from 8 am to 10 am on February 1

–The Parks and Recreation department is seeking official approval to create social media accounts on Face Book and Instagram for getting out the word on community related events to stakeholders.
