Back to Work Small Business Grant Webinar Thursday

Business owners interested in applying for Bucks Back to Work Small Business Grant Program can attend a virtual informational Thursday at 2 p.m

County officials announced on Tuesday the launching of the program to boost small businesses withering away due to the coronavirus pandemic impacts and restrictions. 

Featured guests include:

Bob Harvie, County Commissioner

Jeff Fields, Director, Housing & Community Development,

Deanna Giorno, Program Manager, Economic Development

Jonathan Mercer, and Founder, Stacks Co. Member, Bucks County Economic Recovery Task Force.

Business owners or their representatives are encouraged to email ertf@buckscounty.org in advance of and during the webinar for any questions they have for the featured speakers. When submitting your question, please provide your name, the name of your business, and what municipality in Bucks your business is in.

The program launch comes with the much anticipated hope the county will be moved to the Yellow phase by Governor Tom Wolf on June 5, if not before.

Bucks County received $6 million in funds from the $2 trillion federal CARES Act signed into law last month.

The grant program provides up to $25,000 or 25% of annual operating expenses, whichever is lower, in funding to Bucks County’s small businesses and sole proprietors that have been economically impacted by COVID-19.

On Thursday, Maey 21st at 2:00 PM, business owners throughout Bucks County are invited to a Zoom webinar to learn about the Bucks Back to Work Small Business Grant and County preparations for the anticipated Yellow phase outlined by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Grants will not have to be paid back officials said.  Small businesses with less than 49 employees earning less than $750.000 are eligible to apply,said  Commissioner Bob Harvie. 

To RSVP for the webinar, please register on Eventbrite by 12:00 p.m on Thursday, May 21st. Zoom sign-in details will be provided to all businesses an hour before the event begins.
