Published

Danny Ceisler, an Army veteran, small business owner, and public safety expert announced his candidacy for Sheriff of Bucks County after receiving the unanimous endorsement of the Bucks County Democratic Committee.

“My time in the Army and working with Governor Shapiro taught me the importance of strong leadership and accountability. I look forward to applying these lessons to better serve my neighbors in Bucks County and the dedicated men and women of the Sheriff’s Office” said Ceisler.

“Danny is a battle-tested patriot who represents the best of his generation. Bucks County will be safer with him as our Sheriff” said Former Bucks County Congressman and Under Secretary of the Army, Patrick Murphy.

Ceisler’s professional experience includes:

Military Counter-Terrorism and Crisis Management: Ceisler served in the United States Army for over ten years. In 2016, he served with an elite Special Operations Counter-Terrorism Task Force in Afghanistan, for which he earned the Bronze Star Medal. He has also served on three Crisis Management Teams at the Pentagon, most notably during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Public Safety Leadership: In 2023, Ceisler joined Governor Josh Shapiro’s Administration as a senior public safety official. In that position, he spearheaded Governor Shapiro’s strategic initiatives to improve emergency response in Pennsylvania, including:

  • Building a mutual aid system for localities to assist each other during catastrophes

  • Developing artificial intelligence programs for first responders

  • Administering a brand-new grant program to distribute millions of dollars per year to disaster survivors.

Submitted: Danny Ceisler

Ceisler also proudly oversaw the creation of the Keystone First Responder Award, which recognizes the heroism and sacrifice of first responders who suffered career-ending injuries or were killed in the line of duty.

Fighting For Victims: A graduate of Temple Law School, Ceisler has fought for justice on behalf of hundreds of victims. He proudly represented over 75 law enforcement officers and military veterans who were injured when their defectively designed firearms discharged from within their holsters. Ceisler also represented victims of sexual assault and abuse against institutions that turned a blind eye to sexual violence.

Ceisler’s Plan For The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office:

  • Create an intergovernmental Domestic Violence Task Force to effectively break the vicious cycle of domestic violence for as many Bucks County families as possible.

  • Promote common-sense gun safety practices by ensuring local gun shops conform with existing laws, keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and mentally ill individuals, and collaborating with schools to implement gun safety classes for students and parents.

  • Better support Bucks County Veterans by training 100% of the office’s deputies to handle veterans in crisis and dedicating personnel and resources to supporting the Veterans Treatment Court Program.

About Ceisler: Ceisler lives in Bristol Borough with his wife, Helen. He is the co-owner of Naked Brewing Company in Bristol; a volunteer with Bristol’s Third District Volunteer Fire Company, a certified emergency medical technician, and recently served on the board of the Livengrin Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Bensalem.
