Bucks County Issues Emergency Declaration Due to Blizzard, Activates EOC

The Board of Bucks County Commissioners  approved a Declaration of Disaster Emergency ahead of a winter storm that is expected to bring heavy snow and potential blizzard conditions to the area to start the week.

The declaration went into effect at noon Sunday, and  empowers Bucks County’s Emergency Management Agency to more efficiently respond to emergency  respond to emergency conditions arising from the storm.

Bucks County EMA is preparing to activate the Emergency Operations Center on Sunday to monitor conditions and coordinate resource requests from first responders.

Bucks County EMA urges residents to take necessary precautions during this weather event, including making sure electronic devices are charged, and avoiding non-essential travel.
