The following is a press release from the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds

Striving to support Gov. Wolf’s COVID-19 stay-at-home order while continuing to provide service to Bucks County residents, Recorder of Deeds Robin Robinson has prepared her office to record documents remotely, and has opened free online access to all records.

Robinson has ensured that while her office is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic that employees are able to work remotely from home. For those companies or individuals that electronically record on a normal basis, those services will continue.

A company wishing to record electronically with Bucks County may contact one of the following companies to set up an account; Simplifile (https://simplifile.com/), CSC (https://www.erecording.com/), and ePN (https://www.goepn.com/).  Please know that any documents mailed to the office will still be recorded in a timely manner.

Since the majority of the public is now ordered to stay home, Robinson has opened all records, dating back to 1684, to the public. The office uses recording vendor Landex , which normally charges 15 cents per minute to search.

Because of the current situation and its unknown timeline, Robinson has decided to waive the search fee for now.

“My goal is to keep all residents of the county safe in this uncertain time; this includes my employees,” Robinson said. “I am hoping to keep my office running as normally as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic, just with added precautions.  Opening all online records is just an added bonus right now and I hope that those who have time are able to utilize them.”
