County Coroner: Inmate Death was by Suicide

An inmate who died last week at Bucks County Correctional Facility was ruled a death by suicide.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck said Monday morning Edwin Dunfee, a 46-year-old white male from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania hung himself last week.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office has notified their next of kin and offers their family and friends
sincerest condolences a statement read.

According to online court records, Dunfee was re-arrested on February 28 after a bench warrant was issued. Originally he was charged with a felony with retail theft.

The online court records show he participated in a bail reduction hearing on the same day of his warrant arrest and  had his bail reduced which he posted bond for.
