Delaware Canal Towpath Closed in Area of Scudder Falls Toll Bridge for Three Weeks

Pennsylvania’s Delaware Canal towpath in the vicinity of the Scudder Falls (I-295) Toll Bridge is closed around-the-clock for construction of a pedestrian bridge over the canal.
This uninterrupted towpath closure is expected to remain in place at least three weeks, ending on or about October 8, which will allow for construction of a new pedestrian bridge,
When completed, the new pedestrian bridge will provide a safe connection between the towpath and the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission’s 1799 House trailhead area and nearby park-and-ride lot off Woodside Road in Lower Makefield, PA.
This link will be integral once all construction on the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge’s shared-use pedestrian/bicycle facility is completed later this fall.
