Congressman Fitzpatrick Announces Interactive Map Highlighting Federal Funding for Projects in the District

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) recently announced that the Route 1 improvement projects have totaled so far $69 million in federal funding.

As a result of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, over $290 million has been allocated to projects in our PA-1 community. According to Fitzpatrick, PennDOT data shows that these funds have allowed for the reconstruction of 27 bridges, 19 intersection improvements, eight roadway construction projects, and several flood and drainage improvement projects.

Federally funded projects the congressman highlighted were  The $69 million involved in the reconstruction and widening of U.S. 1 throughout Lower Bucks;  the upgrade of two interchanges, one at Rockhill Drive in  Bensalem Twp and the other at Lincoln Highway in Penndel; the replacement of three bridges on the roadway, and the reconstruction of seven miles of frontage roads.

In addition, his office has launched a new tool that lets you see projects underway in your area. Visit fitzpatrick.house.gov/projects to find out what work is being done in your neighborhood. Both desktop computers and mobile devices can access this interactive map, Fitzpatrick said.

Fitzpatrick said he was  pleased critical infrastructure funding made its way to Pennsylvania’s 1st congressional district .
