PennDOT announced barrier installation and line striping will occur at night next week on northbound I-95 in South Philadelphia under a $37.4 million project to perform high-priority repairs on 27 I-95 bridges in the City of Philadelphia, to maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along this critical corridor.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Wednesday, June 11, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between Packer Avenue and Wolf Street.
- Wednesday, June 11, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from the Walt Whitman Bridge to northbound I-95.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
