PennDOT: Bridge Inspections Continue, I-95 Restrictions

PennDOT announced bridge inspections are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 and several other highways in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday. October 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, alternating right lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Tacony Street between the Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street.
  • Wednesday, October 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m,, a right lane closure is scheduled on the northbound I-95 ramp to Philadelphia International Airport.
  • Thursday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m,, a right lane closure is scheduled on the eastbound I-676 ramp to northbound I-95.
  • Friday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m,, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound Henry Avenue between Monastery Avenue and Dupont Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
