PennDOT: Closure Rescheduled for Schuylkill Expressway Due to Events at Sports Complex

PennDOT announced that this weekend’s planned closure of eastbound Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) has been cancelled in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia.

Due to this weekend events at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia, the work has been postponed to next weekend starting Friday, October 11.

Weather permitting, motorists are advised of the following travel restriction for the following weekend:

• 9 p.m. Friday, October 11, to 6 a.m., Sunday, October 13, eastbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) will be closed from just after the ramp to Grays Ferry Avenue/University Avenue (Exit 346B) to just before the 34th Street on-ramp.
