PennDOT: Night Bridge Repairs Continue on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia

PennDOT announced bridge repair will occur at night next week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) under a $100.6 million project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct over the SEPTA tracks and Nicetown neighborhood in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, September 9, through Thursday, September 12, from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures are planned on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between Henry Avenue and I-76.
• Monday, September 9, through Thursday, September 12, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures are planned on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between I-76 and Henry Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
