PennDOT in an all out push to the public is now offering special REAL ID service hours in Lower Bucks County.
To help the local community for the upcoming REAL ID deadline, PennDOT is offering special service hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday’s at the Bensalem Driver License Center, located at 4201 Neshaminy Blvd. Additional special service hours will also be held on April 14 and May 5.
“We’re committed to ensuring our customers are ready for the REAL ID enforcement deadline of May 7, 2025,” said PennDOT Deputy Secretary for Driver and Vehicle Services Kara Templeton. “By offering special hours on a day when our centers are typically closed, we’re providing an additional opportunity for those who want to obtain a REAL ID and be prepared. We are always looking for ways to provide a better service to residents and our REAL ID Days accomplishes that mission.”
More than 2.5 million Pennsylvanians have chosen to opt into the REAL ID program, PennDOT officials say.
The deadline to obtain a REAL ID is May 7. After this date, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another federally acceptable ID (like a passport or military ID) to:
-
- Board domestic flights
- Enter military bases
- Access certain federal facilities
Getting a REAL ID is optional, but it’s a good idea to plan ahead. For more information on REAL ID, required documents, and other locations, visit: REAL ID Information
