PennDOT:Stormwater Improvements Planned on Several State Highways

PennDOT announced stormwater improvements are planned on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, August 26, through late September, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on County Line Road between Route 332 (Jacksonville Road) and Madison Avenue in Warminster Township, Bucks County and Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County, for stormwater replacement.
• Monday, August 26, through Thursday, August 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure is scheduled on Bethel Road between Featherbed Road and Smithbridge Road in Concord Township, Delaware County, for paving.
• Monday, August 26, through Thursday, August 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure is scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Willing Way and Phoenixville Pike in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, for stormwater replacement.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
