PennDOT announced, starting Monday night, survey and core boring operations will continue at night on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, September 30, through Thursday, October 3, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The survey and core boring operations are part of the design phase for PennDOT’s upcoming I-95/AF3 project that will reconstruct northbound I-95 and its structures between Ann Street and Wheatsheaf Lane. Section AF3 is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2025.
