The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Monday that road work is scheduled on southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for expansion joint repair.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Thursday, February 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Woodhaven Road and the Academy Road interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
